ONS Demographics now live in Terain
UK Census 2021 demographic intelligence, resolved to postcode level and available now for both resident and visitor cohort profiling.
Terain now carries demographic markers direct from the UK Office for National Statistics, alongside our existing Experian offer. Built on the 2021 Census — the most authoritative population dataset in the country — these metrics bring resident and visitor cohorts to life with genuine, response-based accuracy, and provide a great alternative to the established UK demographic offerings.
National coverage, postcode-level granularity
Eight launch markers are available today, with more to come as the ONS catalogue is added to Terain.

Just the beginning
Eight markers is our launch set, not our endpoint. The ONS catalogue runs to hundreds of variables, and we will expand the available metrics as client demand takes shape. This is the first of several steps we are taking to ensure Terain has the most comprehensive demographic offer in the market.
